Each of our innovation initiatives faces various risks. FEI Explore’s raison d'être is to especially de-risk those Risk Dimensions that are not technology-related. This is why we created a “readiness level meter” model that will help us answer the question “Are we there yet?” for each Inflection Point.
The order in which we will try to reduce risk might initially seem counterintuitive. We will start with desirability aspects, followed by viability and contextuality, and only then begin developing technology. This is a significant shift in thinking and working compared to what we have done in the past!
